To see his face light up as he sang every word without prompt was joyful. It brought light into a dark corner of our lives. He was an amazing person, who's greatest joy was helping others. When he needed help, the Alzheimer Society was there for us. I feel I must keep dementia foremost in the minds of the general public, and those who can fund research a cure.

I have worked with people that have this illness. And see how it robs them & their families of the person they were. I've also seen how very hard it is for all involved. As a carer I found it heartbreaking and many times would of loved to have known the people I cared for before the illness took over. But I have met some very lovely people and supported them & their loved ones who can struggle. My heart goes out to you all xx
