In memory of my dear Stepmum, Lynda, who was sadly ravaged by this despicable disease for over 13 years, until her death in March 2020. Lynda was a beautiful and vibrant lady; and she helped hundreds of people with learning disabilities during her teaching career, and also during the early years of retirement for Shrewsbury Mencap. Sadly, the impacts of Dementia on a loved ones family are still widely misunderstood and underestimated.
